DIGITAL ART
It seems like only yesterday that I was creating little symbols and images using my Apple IIe, now twenty years later I’m basically doing exactly the same thing I did as a kid only a bit better. Thanks to technology and a little imagination I’ve been slowly accumulating hundreds of visual compositions that have taken up a large portion of hours in a day. True, they may have started out as an easy way to get ideas out of my head with the intention of using them as sketches to develop further into paintings. Nonetheless, they are vital and important as images and some may even hold well as finished works of art. Regardless, let them enrapture you as they do me and consider the benefits they might have as a medium that draws from both graphic design and digital collage. The process of using scanning, projection and basic photography is dominant here. The found objects and personal touches included in these creations I’m afraid will forever remain a mystery.
